Bailey's Back

Went and picked up Bailey yesterday, and was I so happy to see him. I missed him so much. Glad to have him back in the daily life. Hannah was such a handful alone last week, so now with Bailey back, some of her time will be distracted by having her brother back home.
Grandma and grandpa are mini golfed out !! They played many games at different places, and Bailey loved every minute of it. Grandpa and Bailey played alot of wiffle ball in the backyard, and played catch alot too and then they'd come in and sit and watch the Brewers together.

Hannah and her bike

Hannah got a new bike (again)!! Back in June I posted about Hannah and her new bike daddy got her for graduating kindergarten. (he he).
He picked out a cute little pink ladybug bike and Hannah loved it. It was a 18 inch version, which is inbetween her little bike (16 in) and the next size 20 in. Steve didn't think she could handle the bigger bike.
Well, she saw the "Hannah Montana" bike at the store after getting her new bike. She was bummmed because she wanted that bike now. Can't blame her, cuz she never got to shop for her own bike anyway. I guess she should have been happy with what she got, and for awhile she was. She rode the ladybug bike for about a month, when I decided to see if we could exchange it for the next size. I cleaned up her bike and it looked like new, so I took it back to Walmart mid July and exchanged it for the super cool Hannah Montana bike she wanted. Walmart was real nice and I had no problem exchanging it, although they said I came at the right day, one manager will do returns on bikes and the other will not even consider it. Guess which manager I got. Whew!!
The bike seemed so much bigger, but with only a few minutes of getting used to it, she is handling it like a pro.
So finally after having this bike now for almost a month, I took some pictures today.

Bailey in Packerland

Bailey went to a Packer scrimmage on Sunday night, called Packer Family Night. Tickets went on sale in June, I believe, and are only $8. They got 1st row seats in the end zone. !!
Despite some thunderstorms that passed by earlier in the evening, the game was on.
My parents bought him a Packer hat, and since he didnt' want to pack his Farve jersey, he needed something Packers, apparently.
He had a good time and they didnt' get home until after midnight, so he slept in until after 10:30am the next morning.

Look what Hannah can do now.

Hannah underwater

Hannah going way underwater.

Hannah spent most of her time in WI swimming at my grandparents pool at their new apartment they just moved to last week. She got real brave and decided to just go under. She has been practicing some at home, and was just getting used to dipping her face in the water for less than a second. Somehow she got over it, and just went all the way under and loves it now.
Now we just have to work on not having to plug her nose :)!!!

now, he's off....

Now it's Bailey's turn, to head back to WI with grandma and grandpa. They left this morning.
My parents came back with Hannah on Thursday, a day earlier than planned, since they wanted to see Bailey's baseball game, Thurs. night. They played a good game but lost in the end, by I think only one run. The team had a good season, but lost when it counted and never got to play in the championship game. They were all pretty bummed. Bailey and my parents stayed to watch the next game to see who was the champion, and I came back to pick them up and saw the end, it was another close exciting game.

Bailey has plenty of plans while in WI and always keeps busy. Tomorrow is Packer Family Night, which he has been to the last few years. He likes it there, and with Brett Farve being there other years it was fun....now this year may be a bit different, with all the drama with Brett, but it still should be fun for him. Next year he says he wants to do the Viking Family day, which I think is the same weekend in Mankato....so we might head there next year, we'll have to see what daddy says. Mommy and Hannah will just go shopping or something else :) I can get a $25/night hotel room at the Mankato Grandstay, if I'm still working at the hotel. He's gonna be in WI until Aug 11 when I go meet them half way to get him.

I wasn't feeling too well all last week. Although Bailey and I did get Hannah's room painted and decorated, it was slow but sure. We still have some toys and such to organize, but with how I felt I'm luckly we got done what we did.
It wasn't like a flu sickness, but definatly something viral. So I still was able to do some things. I just lost most of my energy, took naps like crazy, had some stomach issues, got hot and sweaty whenever I did anything much. It all started Tuesday morning when I woke up feeling "weird", had 17 rooms to clean at work that day, but got through it, they were pretty easy, and mostly stayovers......by Tuesday afternoon, when I did the painting, I was still doing ok, but felt that lack of energy and my stomach was not right.
I left work early on Wed. after doing about 7 rooms, with 3 more left, I just couldn't do it anymore. Hot and sweaty, stomach hurt, nauseated, no energy. I came home and slept for a few hours, we worked on Hannah's room for a bit later, I laid back down after supper, able to eat but not much. Eating seemed to make my stomach girggle and brought on all my stomach issues. Never felt sick or like throwing up though. Thurs. I went into work, as I woke up feeling rested, but still not sure my stomach or my energy was ready for cleaning again. I made it through my 9-10 rooms, just took it at a much slower pace. It helped me get through the day, but by the last few rooms, I wasn't feeling so good again. Came home and went to bed again and slept for about 1 1/2 hrs. We finished up Hannah's room as best we could, I cleaned a little to get ready for my parnets and Hannah to come in a few hours.
Thursday night was the worst as far as my stomach ache, girggling, diarrhea, etc. I ate a half a brat for supper which was a big mistake. I was up at 2:30am that night, and just couldn't sleep that well. So Friday morning, I hesitantly went to the Dr. I just figured lets find out how long this is gonna last. She said it's most likely viral gastroenteritis, and it can last up to a week. With my symptoms not showing signs of anything serious, it's just letting it run it's course.
I am feeling better today, although still trying to get my energy back up, after not eating much and my system draining me, literally. I'm supposed to be on the BRATS diet (Bannana, Rice, Applesauce, Toast, Soup, and drink only water and/ or Gatorade. That's tough, but I'm not all that hungry anyway. I had cereal this morning, and every morning since, but I think I'll be ok now with some food....maybe not a brat for awhile though !!!
I have a doctor's note to be off work this weekend, so I will rest up. My work wasnt' too thrilled for me to be off this weekend, since we are SO busy, but we need more housekeepers!!! There is no replacements. uuggh.
I've worked every weekend this whole summer, except the 2 weekends I asked off earlier for our vacations.
Last weekend, there was lack of housekeepers too, Saturday we got our head housekeeper to come in and help ( she normally doesn't work weekends) and 2 of us had to do 14 dirty rooms a piece on Sunday, and just had to leave the rest for Monday, cuz there was only 2 of us, and a normal full house on a Sunday is 4 housekeepers. 14 check outs on a weekend is very time consuming and alot of work for one person, and if we would have had to do the full 19 rooms, we'd be dead and there forever !!! If someone needs off or is sick we are screwed a little bit. It sucks.
Anyway I go back in on Tuesday, Thurs, Friday and Sat, next week so hopefully it's a more normal, productive week for me.

Hannah will request more of my "home" time than what Bailey did last week, so we'll have to plan some things to do, or she will drive me crazy. :)

I'll include some pictures of Hannah and her "new" room this week, it's her birthday present from us. She wanted a Hannah Montana room, so that is what she got. SPOILED !!
