The trip to the vet each year is always a experience...with 2 kids in tow and 3 animals we have a car full. The cats meow the whole 20 min there and back, Wylie is a nervous drooly mess, Lou is way too excited to see the vet, more so than a dog should be, he loves it there....(Lou thinks).....oh yea I like my belly scratched and as he is fooling me with that and then bam the next thing I know they are sticking me with needles for blood and shots but it's over quick and then I like to wiggle in excitment cuz I know I am a good boy. Everyone loves me there, and I get to see my step mom Cathy...Cathy has a cool house, I like to stay and play with all my bothers and sisters....it's my birthplace. My mom is no longer living but it was fun to see her there too, and not sure what's up with my dad these days, I'll have to ask step mom Cathy....
Of course with all the excitement we make it within less than a minute from home and Lou has to "vomit"..... in technical veterinary terms. Kids are holding their noses, oh gross, get me outta here!! He hadn't eaten since 6:45am that morning....how can so much food still be in his stomach at 5pm. The kids evacuated the van very quick. It also started to thunder and lightening, rain came as I'm trying to clean out the van mess, cats are STILL meowing in their carrier. oops, yep get them inside, oh yea, I let the dog out in the backyard..gotta get him in....it's raining. Sent the kids to the library across the street while I started supper. It wasn't raining at the time and all of a sudden I heard thunder again and stopped what I was doing to go pick up the kids so they didnt' have to walk home in thunder and lightening
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Im bored tonight...I'm listening to my kids "play nice"....they are playing Nick Scene It DVD game. No we are playing good, really, they say.
In between all the arguing over everything, I guess they are playing nice.
Your a cheater, thats why you won. Mommy helped you. Lets play again.
All you watch is SpongeBob and you stink at those questions
You have to say the answers, not just say you know.
Holly cow Hannah that's right.
Mommy don't cut my toe nails we are playing a game.
Dude!! I got it right, I can't believe it.
Don't go in front of the TV, COME ON I can't see.
Come on you always beat me in like 1/2 of a second.
uuggh...I was gonna say that.
ha ha ha ha ha ha your hair is sticking up.
Stop it.....Owwwe you Dumb Nut!!
I hate when you call me that...poopy butt...
Stop sitting on me
LOUUUUU... dont' eat the popcorn.

Bailey vs. the trumpet

Bailey can start band in the fall in 5th grade. Hard for me to think of him in middle school so soon. He seems excited about band, and it was his choice whether he wanted to or not. In school a week or so ago the middle school band teacher came to the elem. school and tried out mouth pieces on the kids, and with Bailey's intrest in the trumpet, Mr R. thought it was a good fit. Last night we went to Instrument Night at the middle school gym, and made the commitment to band. We leased a trumpet from Eckroth Music in Waite Park.
Schmiddt Music was also there from Minnetonka. So we had options, but I just decided to stick with the bit closer one.
Mr Rosner explained the expectations of band, grading, options of instruments etc. He said that 20 min 6 days a week is the expectation for practice and there are 3 concerts per school year. Bailey will be one busy boy now that we have to squeeze in homework, band and hockey. I hope it won't be too much for him, but my plan as a parent is to come up with more of a schedule for myself to help him manage his time without stressing him out, so he can still enjoy these things that make him a kid and a achiever.
Elementary school I just kinda winged it in regards to homework vs hockey. Soemtimes we forgot things, sometimes things got a little hectic, sometimes we just felt rushed or unorganized.
I played the clarient for 6 years, so I can relate to Bailey's interest in that respect. I remember first starting out, sounding like I was calling geese to my house with my beginning talent. It turned into something I was proud of, and I remember the first time playing in group band after learning how to play your so used to just hearing yourself play, I thought it was so awesome to know that I was a part of what was making all the sounds of music I heard, at first even as bad as we were.
I think Bailey will enjoy band, hopefully throughout the rest of his school years. He has the option of switching instruments or giving it up if he feels that band is not for him.
We will be making $30/mo payments on the trumpet starting in Nov. for 36 months, until it's paid off then he owns it. If he decides to quit, our payments stop and we return the instrument. His trumpet will be delivered to the school on Aug 25, and he'll be ready to start band when school starts.

Memorial weekend photos

We had a pretty uneventful weekend, after the sale ended on Saturday.
We did however spend a nice evening outside on Friday night with a campfire and marshmellows. Kids enjoyed making the marshmellows and were trying to see who could make the best one.
Sunday afternoon we went to Hutchinson, and went bowling under the black lights, and all had a good time. We made it over to Culver's for a ice cream treat afterwards, and then headed to Target to waste some time while Steve got a haircut. Came home and played a game of Apples to Apples, which the kids love.
Monday was a pretty, well, yes...... a boring day. Nobody wanted to move much, or if they did they didnt' say. Watched alot of reruns of American Gladiators on TV, kids played outside a bit, we cleaned up the garage and hauled all my sale bins downstairs and the rest of the day just passed by so slowly, I thought it would never end.
My parents left this morning, so back to the normal routine. I got back to exercising after pushing it aside for a week. Got laundry, house cleaning and grass to cut yet today.

Hannah's Fun Friday

Hannah's class had a field trip to the Como Zoo on Friday. It was a georgeous day for the Zoo, and Hannah's excitement finally came to a high as Friday finally came, and it was Zoo Day!! The kdg. class has been learning about animals, and reading different stories pertaining to the zoo and animals, making crafts with animals as the theme to prepare them for the final experience....the Zoo. She has about 70 kids in her class, and all of them were off on a long bus ride leaving at 8:15 am and returned at 3pm. She enjoyed all the animals she saw there and loved the monkey's and the seal show. She said, I even saw a "sloth" !! She thought she had the perfect shirt to wear to the zoo, it was a shirt I had gotton Bailey when he was like 3 yrs old at the Como Zoo.
Twins Thursday
picture was taken Friday didn't have my camera when he was all decked out in his Twins attire on Thursday.Bailey was able to go to the Twins game on Thursday afternoon, with the school. He was a part of the school patrol (crossing guard), and as a reward for helping out, they got to go to the game. Bailey has been looking forward to this all year. He saw the Twins play the Texas Rangers and saw a good game with losts of scoring. The Twins ended up loosing in the 10th inning 7-8. Bailey bought a foam finger, which he said he was gonna do before he left. He can add it to his collection.
I played the dumb mom on Thursday, as I thought that the note sent home on Wed night somehow pertained to him for the Twins game. Steve was supposed to chaperone or go along, and couldn't at the last minute, due to work. The note sent home was for Steve as a chaperone, but somehow I read it differently, and make it pertain to Bailey...it said he didn't have to be at school until 9:45am, and they were leaving at 10:15am. Of course this all was meant for Steve. I let Bailey sleep in, take his time getting up and ready, I was out starting the garage sale, at 8am. Bailey was bored all morning, playing video games, riding his bike, etc. I felt odd letting him out and about doing whatever, with most kids in school. Stephen, who lives down the street, was also going to the game, so about 9am and Bailey doing alot of complaining that he was bored, I said what is Stephen doing he must be home, and Bailey responded, that well, I think he is at school. It then, at that very moment clicked in both our minds, that Bailey was to be at school (of course). I then realized that that note I read was meant for chaperones to be there at 9:45am, etc. Bailey was anxious to get to school to cure his bordem, so I sent him off at 9:15am, with a note that read, well.... how I misunderstood certain things, which is why Bailey was late today. It was a classic dumb moment for me and we all had a good laugh.

Mother's Day

I didn't have my camera for a few weeks, because Steve takes it to work, and these last 2 weeks, I haven't seen my husband, for only a few hours. It was nice to have him spend some time with the kids yesterday (Sat) and now today (Sunday), since last weekend he was gone as well all week. Steve is pretty worn out, but at least he has gotton a few days of a break. I missed posting about Mother's Day, so here is a picture of what was all given to me on Mother's Day. The most special is all the love I felt that day and not necessarily the things, although that was special too.
Sale = Success
My sale was a success!! I am so glad I decided to do it, as normally it is quiet for Memorial weekend around town, but several sales popped up all over town. Our neighbor across the street also set up some of his stuff Thurs. and Friday, which also helped draw people over our way. We had picture perfect weather on Thurs and Friday and many people were out and about. Saturday was our slow day, and the weather was colder and windy, but it was worth the $100 or so we made that day. Our total sale was over $600.
I got sunburned despite the sun screen I applied. It was my first sun of the year, so my nose usually gets fried, and my arms and upper chest was exposed too. I feel like a fried lobster. The sun and wind also affected my lips, and I was constantly applying lip stuff. So all in all, it went well though, and I probably will store what's left for a Super Huge Labor Day sale-- 2009. I thought I got rid of alot of stuff, and glad alot of the bigger stuff went, but now that we packed everything back up, I still have over 20 bins of stuff...how can that be?? When it's all spread out it didnt' look like that much was left.
Oh well. I'm sure I will find more to sell in a year and a half, and we'll have one doosy of a sale.
We have to work on our spending though, so that I can get to a point where there really isn't much to sell, but it always seems as though there is with kids growing out of stuff.

happy?

Have you ever thought about the connection between happiness and good health? Most of us would probably agree that there is a connection, but many of us don't take the time to build a foundation of good health. Good health can be the launching pad for great things. Think about when you are feeling under the weather. It is hard to stay on track and consistent with your goals when your body isn't up to the challenge. It is extremely important to make sure your body stays in great condition if you want to build happiness within your life.

a gloomy day today, but sunny days ahead
What a gloomy lookin day, but there are brighter days ahead, as I fully trust the forcast to remain sunny and 70's for the later part of the week and weekend for my sale. I'm excited that the weather will be good (am I jinxing myself?) and I plan to have a good sale.
Bailey had his first baseball practice yesterday, his team name is the "Storm". There are so many 3-4th graders out for baseball this year that they had to add 2 teams, which makes 6-7 teams, I believe. Bailey's team name was a former 5-6th grade team, so their jersey's are all kinda big, and Bailey's pants are way baggy, so we hope to go just buy him some that look better. It looks as though he has some good hitters on his team, so hoping for a fun summer.
Had my check up today at the clinic.
Well at least I can say I was into a Dr in my 30's and can probably safely say I dont' need to go back until I'm 40ish.
I don't have any health issues, or any family health risks that would need me to go back any sooner than that. Healthy as a horse. Today was just to have a record of a exam, but it seemed more like a waste of time. I liked my Dr today, and she congratulated me about my weight loss. I weighed in at about 2 lbs heavier at the doctor, but it still was nice to see that their scale pretty much matched mine and I really have lost 20 lbs. I have been going back and forth from about 19 lbs to about 22 lbs. It's hard to stay focused.
As I expected, Steve was not only working late last night,(he quit working at 9pm), but that left him in Duluth at 9pm..... 3 hrs from home. So he decided to stay in a hotel there. Poor guy is so exhausted. He still has a few hours to finished up there and then is supposed to work in Ham Lake, another good distance from home. It's is sprinkling here today so maybe it will bring him home early.....I can hope.
So it's been another day without him, add that onto last week and I think I saw him less than 2 hours, in 8 days.
I have a few hours before the kids get home, so I better go be productive.

do I know you?
It's been one long week, and a man walked into my home Thursday night, and I asked him, do I know you? He smiled. Oh yea, your my husband.
The kids and I hadn't seen him since Sunday night. He left about 6am every morning and didnt' get home until after 10pm, but Thursday,YIPPEE!, we saw him for about an 1 hour, before the kids were off to bed, and then he was on the phone for another hour. Friday night was about the same, but we did get a few more minutes of catch up time, and Sat night, he came home about 9:45pm and I had about 20 min to talk to him, before I went to bed. Now today he left again before we were up and I expect it to be late again, since he is up in Duluth. Feel like I've been on my own for a week.

wacky week ahead
I'm just looking at my calandar, and thought I'd share what a wacky week it will be.
If I write it down here, there and everywhere, I might remember to keep everything on track, with a little sanity left. Most of it is fun stuff, so I look forward to a wacky week with maybe a little bit of exhaustion mixed in.
Sunday--kids last day of sunday school....I'll drop them off, and then heading to work, there is a wedding at the hotel so I expect to be there awhile. Kids will be picked up from Sunday school by grandpa, because Steve is doing an odd job up in Duluth for some extra money. Oh yeah and then if I'm not done with work by 2pm, Bailey has his first baseball practice at 2pm, which grandpa again might have to get him too, while grandma watches Hannah.
Monday--both kids off to school, I have a Dr appt at 9:30 in Hutch, and it's Bailey's week to do patrol after school, and Hannah will have to just come home herself or I will go get her(??), work on getting garage sale ready. Clean the house in preparation for my parents arrival.
(reminder--send Bradey's b-day card out)
Tuesday- gotta work--9am, Hannah to grandma Barb's, my mom and dad are on their way here today. Remind Bailey of patrol again, clean house some more, work on garage sale, figure out supper for everyone, go get groceries for the rest of the week?? Possibly a baseball practice?? -not sure yet.
Wed.--work again-9am-- kids off to school, get sale ready.
Thurs.--Goodness, I'm exhausted already....Bailey goes to Twins game this afternoon for being a part of the school patrol (remember to pack him a lunch--no patrol today--3rd grade fills in), garage sale opens. Pray for good weather.
Friday--kids off to school, Hannah's entire kdg class goes on a field trip to the Como Zoo today, and Bailey and the 1-4th graders have "Gummy Bear Day", which is like an all day track and field day, where they do different activities to earn gummy bears and points. An exciting day for both kids. (remember to pack lunches for both kids--remind Bailey about patrol after school-- get Hannah after field trip??--she can probably come home herself too). Garage sale open all day.
Sat--garage sale open all day.
phew~! Happy Memorial Weekend!!

a day at middle school
Bailey was not just sent off to school today, but off on a bus to the middle school, to spend the morning with the 5th graders. He was a bit nervous starting last night and I think that brought on the headache he got at bedtime. I thought he was gonna get sick. I gave him some Motrin, and he fell asleep fine and woke up fine. He was concerned after we had the discussion before bed that he was to ride the bus from the elementary to the middle school. The walkers were supposed to meet at school to catch one of the middle school busses by 7:45am and all the regular bus riders are to ride right to the middle school. He wanted me to just bring him to the middle school. He's not normally worried about stuff like this, and has rode a bus many times, but I said we'd talk about it in the morning, but I preferred he'd just do the bus with everyone else.
Still yet this morning, he wanted me to bring him, and he was just unsure about everything. So I decided to walk Hannah to school (playground), and then walked Bailey up to the front of school to where the kids were for the busses, when he saw all the kids waiting, he seemed fine, and went to where they were and I walked back home then. I said will you be fine, and he said yes. I think he just needed that reassurance as to where to go and that other classmates will also be there with him. He kept saying I dont' know what to do, and I said you dont' have to know what to do, your teachers will be there to help you. So I definatly think this is a good idea, to get some of the nerves out now for next school year, gives them a little bit of an idea what middle school will be like.
His class along with the 1st-3rd graders will also attend a play there in the afternoon, called "Give the Mouse a Cookie", and then head back to the elem. school for the end of the day.
He came home and said he had a good day, so he survived a day at middle school. Each kid was paired up with a 5th grader, and he said his 5th grade buddy for the day, was Grant, from hockey, so that made it easier too.

Bailey's headaches update
Bailey has been on his headache preventative medicine for almost 4 months already. It's been a challenge to remember giving it to him twice a day, but it's getting easier. It's been a challenging road the last few years, but I think he may be closer to managing them, and he seems happier. Once we think that we have it under control, he gets a few for no apparent reason. We still haven't figured out all the whys?
He started out on a 10 mg dose for the first month, and then has been on 20 mg now for the last 3 months. We are due for a refill mid May, so I had to call the Dr.
She said he needs a follow up appt., which I knew was coming, and in fact is over due by a few months, just trying to prolong it until after school is out, plus I'm not sure that the trip to Mpls. to be seen is actually necessary, but it's also nice to talk face to face, instead of figuring this stuff out over the phone. So I set up a appt. the end of July, while she asked how things were going. It's kinda ify, as I'm not sure if this medicine is suppose to prevent his headaches altogether, or even one or 2 a month would be nice, (not any are nice for Bailey), but it would seem more managable anyway.
The first 3 months have not been any better than without the meds per say. In January after starting the meds, he had 9, in Feb after raising the dose, he still had 8, in March he had 7. So there is a obvious decline, but not enough to say it's working, still seems like too many to me. His average is 6-10/mo. anyway, without the meds. For the mid April to mid May month he's had 2 so far. He has a week left, but only getting 2-3 this month has been a large improvement, a month where I can finally say, maybe this will work.
I'd like to give this medicine a chance, and glad I dont' have to talk to the Dr. until the end of July. That gives us more time to see if this is really the right dose. If he gets only 2-3 headaches the next few months that is a sign that it might be working. I'd like to see them gone altogether if we are gonna be giving him medicine, but also summer is just around the corner, and the 2 times he got the headaches this month it was a warm, rather hot day. So if it's not one trigger, it's something else. That's the tough part trying to figure out the why each time.
So with some more headache free days in his life lately, Bailey is excited for summer....... no more school, playing with friends, swimming, baseball, basketball camp, family time with some travelling involved. ( I guess WI/IL is all the further we get to go this summer).
And keeping on the health note, I made myself a appointment for a physical next Monday. I haven't been to the doctor for a check up since I was 21, and even that was a required physical for attending college, and they basiclly just made sure I was alive, it was pretty basic. I'm a bit nervous about seeing a new Dr. and for accessing all the things Dr's might discuss at my age. I'm not scared of needles, blood, tests, exams, etc, just got that nervous, concerned about aging, weight issues, worry about the unknown feeling, and esp. self conscious about my weight. I know everything will be fine, I am ridiculously healthy (besides all the conditions my weight might cause), which is why I need to do this, get a baseline in depth exam for my future health record. At least I'll have something to go back on as I age, besides the goofy physical I had at 21....which I'm not even sure where on record that even is.

Bailey's Spring Music Program-- 5/8/08
Above is the video from the spring program. It is just Bailey's class, doing "Goldilocks and the 3 Bears", and it lasts about 5 minutes. Bailey is in the back row in a red shirt, playing the bass xylophone. I'm not good at doing video, and trying to watch at the same time, so I apologize for the not so good spots of it.

Bailey and music

Bailey was involved in the Dassel Elementary spring music program this year as part of the 4th grade class. All 3rd and 4th graders were a part of this years theme "Composers and Authors". The classes each had a storybook to make "musical". Dassel Elem. has a wonderful music teacher and both last year and this years programs were very fun to watch. Bailey doesnt' like music class too much, but when it came time to prepare for the spring program, he always enjoys it.
The 3rd grade had 4 classes, and the 4th grade has 3 classes which made the entire program last about an hour, which was 7 stories.
Mr Lingl's 4th grade did "Goldilocks and the 3 Bears".
Bailey played the bass xylophone. I'm gonna try to include the video but the first time I loaded it in here it didn't work.
Bailey got a haircut on Monday after school, so included is also a picture of him with his new do. He said he was done with the long hair for awhile, well his exact words were, "forever", but I'm sure come winter/hockey season, he'll change his mind.

Muffins for Mom's Day
Hannah and I had a very special time at Kindergarten today, in honor of Mother's Day on Sunday, the kdg. classes have a morning called "Muffins for Mom's", it was today from about 8am-8:45. She was very excited for this day, and she made me a hat made out of newspaper, with flowered decorations on it and even a bow in the back, pretty unique. All the mom's looked pretty stylish. She also planted a flower, which will grow in to a marigold. We had a muffin and some juice, we heard the morning announcements and said the Pledge of Allegiance, and sang a patriotic song.... gosh, cant' even remember which one it is, but I guess they do that every morning. We played in the classroom for a few minutes, then the class sang some real cute songs with lots of actions, their cardio workout for the morning, says Mrs Allen.
Hannah and I enjoyed our time together this morning.
Daddy had a "Donuts for Dad's day last month, but he was unable to attend, becasue of working, so Hannah hung out with her good friend, Mileka and her dad and they had a good time.
I would have taken some pictures, but currently I do not have a camera...Steve takes it now every day to work, and I am so bummed that I am missing out on all sorts of pictures.

Motivational Quote

Many of us begin thinking about the true value of time when it is already to late. We notice how much time we’ve wasted at the end of each day. We can think of the ways we used time to do needless worrying, unnecessary complaining, and many other common daily time wasters. Make a new goal to start recognizing the true value of time. Set up a program that will allow you to get your work done and use every extra minute for enjoyment. We all know that procrastination is one of the most common mistakes…stop letting it be one of yours. Do what you need to do each day in order to account for every minute in a positive way.

A cool chair for a good deal

We are having some trouble paying bills and keeping things from being turned off, BUT, I do have a passion for garage sales, and since all my birthday money was used for gas and for Steve to continue to work the last few weeks, I went garage saleing on Saturday, and found this cool chair for 1/2 price of what it costs new. It's in good shape and Steve has always wanted one( me too) and the kids LOVE it. Couldn't pass it up. Never thought we'd have room for it, but we made room.
kids, parenting and no more hockey for a few months
I just read my sister in laws column in the newspaper she writes for, and her story about wanting to keep her kids close by, even though they are growing up and going in all different directions, was also what I have been feeling the last week to a slightly different degree but the emotions and similarities are there. To see her column go to http://heraldjournal.com/news/bakken.html and click on the story "Stay where I can see you".
I dont' have kids quite old enough for college, but the thought of it, is not too far down the road, and will seem like time just flew by, when it happens. I treasure the fact they are growing and learning every day, and I (mostly) enjoy the different stages they are going though. Going through and learning all the things they will need to carry them along in this world, most importantly that they have God in their lives to lean on always. That alone will get them them through anything life throws at them.
I have been trying to keep Bailey on a close leash, but to much avail it has not been working out. The leash is getting longer every day. One comment I always make is let me know where you are going. He has neighborhood friends within a few blocks and now with the nicer weather it has been a concern to me, and a bit stresssful, that he just goes on his bike and forgets to tell me where he is.(of course I pretty much know where he is), but it's that mother in me that I want him close by or where I can see him and just to make sure he gets in the habit of telling me. I also rememeber being a kid and growing up in a small city, and running around the neighborhood too. So I can relate and let him have as much freedom as I can tolerate as a mom. I'm pretty laid back with it all, but it's also new to me in the parent role, so I just have to make sure everything is fine all the time..... the world is a crazy place.
He forgot just recently to tell me where he went, and I was getting concerned, because he apparently forget to not only tell me where he was, but also that he had hockey prcatice to get to shortly after school, and we needed to grab a earlier supper and pick up his friend for hockey as well, and I was on my own for all of this. Found him just in time, and he was with his neighbor friends doing a nature walk in the streets of Dassel, for a school project. When I found him finally, I was a tad upset, but also just glad he was close by and fine. So I had to reitterate in my stong motherly voice that I NEED to know where you are, I may not be able to see him always, but at least my heart would be settled knowing where he is and not wandering the streets of Dassel without me knowing about it.
Right now I sent him off to baseball try outs. The baseball field is about 2 blocks away, so I gave him the independance to ride his bike there. He seemed pretty proud to just go himself. Hannah and I will probably go in a bit to check out the practice.
Also the other day he went back to the school basketball court to play with his friend, who was waiting after school for his dad to pick him up, so I said it was ok for Bailey to go "hang out" with his friend, but said to come home when Derek left. Bailey came home at 5:30pm ( usually 5pm is my friend cut off) and said he was playing basketball with a different friend and 2 5th graders. What happened to Derek, I said, ....oh he went home a long time ago, Bailey says. Well I'm glad he had fun playing basketball and all, but again that was not the plan. So we have some tweeks to work out, with his newly found expanded independance.
Hannah is the same way on a smaller level...very independant. She knows she can't go anywhere alone or with a friend yet, she can go to Elizabeth's house or Kendall's house and no further. She has just learned to ride her bike so she is cruising all over back and forth. We do a have street between the girls houses with only a yield sign to slow cars down, and have been trying to teach her to stop and look before just crossing, but Kendall never looks, and Elizabeth is better at slowing and looking before crossing without having to stop completly, but I'd just assume Hannah stop and look, but it's tough to teach when her friends don't do it as well.
All this new found expanded independance is making my heart probably pound a little faster....all part of being a parent and I'm not sure I still am ready for what's yet to come. Just trying to make sure my children are safe and having fun at the same time.

Bailey had some dissapointing end of the season hockey games yesterday night.
First he played at the Schwans Super Rink in Blaine. They played Blaine again, and lost worse than last time. Believe the score was like 14-1.(they stopped keeping score after 8 goals) We were missing 5 players, all who are our top players. They were at another leagues hockey tournament in Fargo. Bailey did score the only goal though. He had to lead the team, and had some chances, just not enough team support.
We had enough time to grab McDonalds for supper and then headed to another rink close by in Blaine,(Fogerty Arena) and there they played Anoka. Anoka had a similar team as us, but with 1/2 our team missing, it was another not so pretty game...and we lost 5-1.
So it was a pretty disappointing season, but I think Bailey learned alot and kinda got to be a team leader, he got many more chances with the puck, than in the LDC regular season, and was able to practice game stragities and moves, without it being too overwhelming. He had fun, but as always it's frustrating to always be on the loosing end of it.

a story about attitude
Attitude
There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror,
and noticed she had only three hairs on her head. 'Well,' she said, 'I think I'll braid my hair today.'
So she did and she had a wonderful day.
The next day she woke up,
looked in the mirror and saw that she had only two hairs on her head. 'H-M-M,' she said, 'I think I'll part my hair down the middle today.'
So she did and she had a grand day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head. 'Well,' she said, 'today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail.' So she did, and she had a fun, fun day.
The next day she woke up,
looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head.
'YAY!' she exclaimed. 'I don't have to fix my hair today!'
Attitude is everything.
Be kinder than necessary,
for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
Live simply,
Love generously,
Care deeply,
Speak kindly.......
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...
It's about learning to dance in the rain.
