Saints Reading Challenge Night

Hannah and I did end up going to the DC Saints baseball game, about 1/2 hr after I wrote my last post. I kinda talked her into it. We found her friends Mileka and Madaline and also saw her friend Elizabeth, with her family. The place was booming with kids running all over. Hannah tends to be extra shy when I'm close by, and tonight was no different. She did go run around with them for a little bit, but then hurt her toe tripping on soemthing, so then she hung out my me and Mileka's mom for a bit. We finally found a good seat to actually watch the game, but by now it's already in the 5th inning. We got our free popcorn and drink, she wanted nothing to do with face painting or tatoos--too shy.
We left in about the 7th inning, Hannah wasnt' talking anyway and seemed bored and unhappy. She insisted it was time to leave. We made plans to have the girls play this summer, they live in Silver Lake, and they have a nice pool in town, so Hannah might get to go there to swim sometime, and Joanna also will be teaching summer school, so Mileka can come here to play while she does that maybe.
As we were going home, Elizabeth and her mom where also leaving so we caught up with them and walked home with them. ( the girls were on their bikes). Bailey came home after the game at about a little after 10 with a headache. Hopefully he sleeps in this morning. Saints beat Monticello 10-1.
